DogaakDogaak plays typing sounds when you press keys. This policy explains exactly what the software does with your data. The short version: we do not collect your data. The software does not record what you type, and it does not send your data anywhere.
1. Keyboard Input — What the Software Does and Does Not Do
To play a sound at the moment you press a key, the software listens for keyboard press/release events system-wide while it is running (a “keyboard hook”).
- The software uses each key event only to decide which sound to play, in memory, at the moment it happens, and then discards it.
- The software does not record, store, log, save, or transmit your keystrokes or any text you type. There is no keystroke history, no buffer written to disk, and no network transmission of key data.
- The software does not read the contents of your screen, clipboard, files, or other applications.
You can stop the keyboard hook at any time by disabling sound output in the app or by quitting the app.
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The software stores the following on your device only:
- Settings — volume, language, and similar preferences.
- Sound packs — packs you created and packs downloaded from Steam Workshop.
These files stay on your device. They are not transmitted to the Developer. Uninstalling the software and deleting its data folder removes them.
3. Data We Collect — None
The Developer does not operate any server for this software and does not collect, receive, or process any personal data from it. The software contains no analytics, no telemetry, and no crash reporting. The Developer has no access to your usage data.
4. Steam
The software is distributed and run through Steam. Steam features involve Valve Corporation processing data under Valve’s own privacy policy (https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/):
- Purchases and ownership — handled entirely by Steam. The Developer never receives your payment details.
- Steam Workshop — when you upload a sound pack, the pack (audio, images, title, description) and your public Steam persona are published through Steam Workshop and visible to others according to the visibility you choose. When you subscribe to a pack, Steam downloads it to your device.
- The software calls the local Steamworks API for these features; it does not send any additional personal data of its own.
5. Children
The software is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
6. International Users (GDPR and Similar Laws)
Because the Developer collects no personal data, there is ordinarily nothing for the Developer to access, correct, delete, or port. Data processed by Valve through Steam (account, purchases, Workshop uploads) is subject to Valve’s privacy policy and should be addressed to Valve. For any privacy question about this software, contact [email protected]; we respond within 30 days.
7. Changes to This Policy
If a future version of the software changes what data is processed (for example, adding opt-in crash reporting), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and material changes will be announced on the Steam store page.
